Darryl Jenkins

Darryl Jenkins, founder of Soaring Grounds Foundation was inspired by the idea of creating a space where families can come together and learn how to collaborate, work together and learn from each other through sports and recreation. Using team work as a motivator Mr. Jenkins has created programming that allows the whole family to participate and engage in building bridges and understanding that there are a multitude of ways to reach a common goal as long as the family unit works together.
Along with sports programming Mr. Jenkins has created a space in which individuals can come and seek out resources to support community and economic development, independence and self sustainability.
It is the vision of Mr. Jenkins that Soaring Grounds provides the bridge to success for all participants who seek support.
Reimy Gonzalez
Media Director
Reimy Gonzalez, a Dominican Republic-born photographer and video guru, is passionate about the power of visuals and their ability to connect people. With a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and a minor in Photography, Remy values the impact that imagery can have in conveying messages and emotions. As a board member, he takes charge of overseeing all visual representations of the Soaring Grounds and its online presence, recognizing the significance of visual storytelling in promoting the mission. Remy actively participates in the cultivation of media development programs, contributing to the Soaring Grounds' initiatives. Growing up in Washington Heights, and Harlem, Remy's diverse background and educational background further enrich his creative perspective and storytelling abilities.
